DREAM Christmas is a special holiday community service event that equips DREAM Alive (DA) scholars to provide a “Christmas" for children and families living in poverty across Indianapolis. Our company partners come together to equip each DA scholar to sponsor a family in tough circumstances in Indianapolis and give these families a “DREAM Christmas” that they’ll never forget.

It’s an amazing picture of people from all different backgrounds coming together to give the gift of giving back!

What Does Dream Christmas Look Like?

Similar to the “Secret Santa” concept, DA scholars are secretly paired with a child in need. During the week of November 11th, company partners sponsor shopping days at Meijer where scholars, along with the help of volunteers, purchase gifts for their paired child. A week later, scholars bring their gifts to these same businesses for a wrapping party. Then on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, we will host our 20th Annual DREAM Christmas celebration at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Families, sponsors, scholars, businesses, and volunteers across Indianapolis celebrate with one another in a festival-like atmosphere, with the highlight of the night being a surprise gift giveaway to all children and families. It is truly an event like no other and provides a valuable service-learning opportunity for our scholars that most importantly, embodies the spirit of giving back during the holidays.
