Our High School Program
Our high school program combines intentional mentorship with career and college experiences designed to inspire students to envision a future beyond today. Through our programming, scholars connect with professionals from various industries, participate in college road trips, attend retreats and summer camps, and gain access to internships, one-on-one mentoring, career training, college preparation, and scholarship opportunities. These experiences, along with personalized mentor support, equip our students for success and a promising future.
High School Initiatives
Individual Mentorship
Relationships are at the heart of all we do at DREAM Alive. Our high school students are matched with a mentor who meets with them bi-weekly to encourage and support them. Our staff also meets with students throughout the day, developing strong and meaningful relationships that keep students on track and focused on their bright futures.
Career and College Preparation
At DREAM Alive, we believe that when youth are supported and given a view of a positive future, they’re more likely to reach for it. That’s why our high school program exposes students to real-world career paths through hands-on, meaningful experiences at a variety of businesses throughout Indianapolis. We know that success looks different for every student—whether that’s college, the military, a trade, or jumping straight into a career. By helping students develop a clear, realistic vision for their future, we empower them not just to graduate, but to step confidently onto a path of purpose and possibility.
Elevate Indy Partnership
As DREAM Alive scholars move into high school, we partner closely with Elevate Indianapolis to ensure a seamless transition. Our students join Elevate’s state-accredited elective classes and out-of-school programs, continuing the mentorship and guidance they began in middle school. Together, we create a continuous pipeline of support from 6th through 12th grade—equipping scholars with the skills, confidence, and preparation they need for life beyond graduation.
