Scholar Spotlight
Sierra caught up with one of our amazing DREAM Alive scholars at Longfellow, Miyanna Webster a former Howe student, and she’s thriving! She shared that she’s doing really well—earning great grades, staying focused, and looking forward to joining the school’s sports teams. With high school just around the corner, she said she’s determined to “lock in” and surround herself with positive influences as she prepares for this exciting next chapter. We’re so proud of her growth and determination!
Featured Career Trip
Our scholars had an unforgettable experience visiting the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis! They learned how banks operate—how they make money, manage funds, and reinvest in the community. One of the most exciting moments was watching a live billion-dollar trade happen right before their eyes! To top it all off, Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and North Salem Bank generously gave DREAM Alive with a $2,000 donation to support our scholars. We’re so grateful!
DREAM Christmas
As we move into the season of giving, we’re also preparing for one of our favorite annual traditions—DREAM Christmas! This special event empowers our scholars to give back by sponsoring families across Indianapolis and providing gifts, meals, and joy to those in need. It’s a powerful way to remind students that leadership starts with service and compassion.
