Building Financial Skills for a Season of Giving
Our scholars kicked off this year’s DREAM Christmas service project with a hands-on budgeting workshop hosted by two incredible partners—Regions Bank and the National Bank of Indianapolis. Nearly 100 scholars participated across two workshop sessions, where they learned the value of money, how to create a spending plan, and how to thoughtfully budget the amount they’ll use to shop for their “littles.” This workshop not only equips scholars with practical financial skills, but also sets the tone for a season of service, responsibility, and generosity as they prepare for DREAM Christmas.
From Shopping Carts to Wrapped Hearts
The week before Thanksgiving, DREAM Alive scholars filled the aisles of Meijer with excitement as more than 100 volunteers joined them for four evenings of thoughtful holiday shopping for their “littles.” The momentum continued the first week of December with four lively days of wrapping parties hosted by seven generous company partners whose employees teamed up with our scholars to wrap every gift with care. Together, these shopping and wrapping events created a powerful season of service, teamwork, and joy—beautifully embodying the heart of DREAM Christmas.
