As we begin to wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, spring is in full bloom at DREAM Alive, bringing memorable moments from college visits and outdoor adventures to career-packed field trips and scholar stories that showcase the lasting impact of our work.
College Road Trip
DREAM Alive staff and 42 high school scholars embarked on our annual College Road Trip from March 17–19 for a 3-day, 2-night experience designed to bring college life into focus. During visits to Anderson University, Ball State University, and Indiana Wesleyan University, scholars toured campuses, engaged in meaningful conversations, and gained firsthand insight into college pathways and future career possibilities. Along the way, fun group experiences at Activate Games and Adrenaline Family Adventure Park helped build community, confidence, and excitement for what’s ahead.
Scholar Spotlight
Ferlandi, a new 7th grader at Northwest Middle School, has been adjusting to a new school, a new country, and new routines after his family recently moved to the U.S. from Mexico. Often helping his family refurbish machinery and appliances after school, he was identified by staff as a student who could benefit from connection and community. Ferlandi now stays after school twice a week to partake in DREAM Alive programming. After a recent Camptown field trip, he shared how grateful he is for DREAM Alive because he now has something to look forward to. DREAM Alive has become a place where he feels supported, connected, and free to experience the joy of being a kid.
Upcoming DREAM Awards
On Monday, April 27th, 2026 we will host our 2026 DREAM Awards. This year’s theme is Step into Your Future: A Sneaker Ball Celebration. This special event brings together scholars, mentors, volunteers, community partners and staff to celebrate our graduating seniors, recognize achievements and highlight the collective impact of the DREAM Alive community.
