Scholar Spotlight
This week, we’re celebrating Northwest M.S. scholar, Zariah! At just 15 years old, Zariah has been determined to find a job, going on interview after interview, four in just the last few months. This week, all that persistence paid off. Though she admitted to feeling nervous walking in, Zariah nailed her interview and was hired on the spot! We are so proud of her resilience and can’t wait to see her thrive in this new role.
DA Expands Programming to William Penn M.S.
We are excited to announce that DREAM Alive has expanded to a 6th middle school site this fall, William Penn, giving even more kids in the IPS community a place to learn, grow, and dream big. Leading the charge at William Penn is our newly hired Site Director, Jocelyn. With her passion for youth development, Jocelyn will be building strong relationships with scholars, families and staff as she gets our programming up and running. We can’t wait to introduce a new set of scholars to our lunch and learns, career field trips and upcoming DREAM Christmas season!
DA Awarded Faith & Action Grant
We are thrilled to share that DREAM Alive has been named a 2026 Faith & Action Grant recipient, receiving a $20,000 investment from Christian Theological Seminary’s Faith & Action Project. This generous support will expand our work across every IPS middle school, strengthen transportation so more students can access career exploration experiences, and help ensure students facing food insecurity receive consistent after-school meals and snacks. We’re grateful to CTS for investing in our scholars, and excited for the impact this grant will have across our sites this year.
