Part of what makes DREAM Alive so impactful are the strategic opportunities available for local companies to engage with our youth and helping them DREAM BIG. Most of our opportunities are simple, yet powerful in the way they impact our youth. Check out the various corporate opportunities below.

HOST A CAREER FIELD TRIP WITH US

Sign up to host a group of our scholars at your business or place of employment to help expose our scholars to a new career.  Hosting a 1.5-hour career field trip can change our scholars’ lives by showing them career paths they might be interested in pursuing after high school/college.

Commitment: 1-1.5 hours in the afternoon between 4:00 - 5:30 PM to host approximately 15-30 scholars at a time.

HOST A CHRISTMAS WRAPPING PARTY

Be apart of our holiday community service event to “give back” and provide Christmas for children living in poverty across Indianapolis. You and your colleagues will host DA scholars and assist them in wrapping the gifts they purchased for their child. We provide all the wrapping paper and supplies, we just ask that you provide after-school snacks for the scholars and a large enough space for 15-30 scholars to wrap their gifts.

Commitment: One afternoon between 4:00 - 5:30PM during the week of November 18-22, 2024

PROVIDE A JOB SHADOWING EXPERIENCE

Each summer we host a summer camp for scholars to learn more about career exploration as a bridge between the school years. We are looking for companies willing to host a one-day job shadowing opportunity during our summer camp for a group of scholars.

Commitment: One morning from 9am - 12pm during the first two weeks of June for a group of 2-10 scholars.

PROVIDE A SUMMER INTERNSHIP

We are looking for companies willing to provide one of our scholars with real experiential learning in the form of a paid summer internship. Ideally the internship will be for a minimum of 6 weeks during the summer and average 20-40 hours per week.

Commitment: 6 weeks in the summer for at least one scholar in 9th-12th grade.

DREAM Alive hosts 2 programming events each year and we rely on our corporate sponsors to help make each event a success. For more information on sponsorship, email Claire Bastian, our Director of Operations, at the link below.

DREAM Christmas - A special holiday community service event between November and December that allows our DREAM Alive scholars to “give back” and provide Christmas for children living in poverty across Indianapolis.

DREAM Awards - An event held in April/May each year, recognizing our seniors graduating from high school, as well as honoring local business leaders, volunteers, and companies for their impact in our scholars lives.

GIVE A MONETARY DONATION

If you don’t have the capacity to give your time, we welcome monetary donations to help support our DA programming. DREAM Alive offers programming at 5 middle schools and various high schools around the city. Our mission to break the cycle of poverty by guiding youth towards career paths cannot be achieved without unsung heroes, like yourself, who contribute financially to our mission.

DREAM Alive is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, that is supported by local businesses, community leaders, and individuals. Every donation is tax-deductible and your gift directly supports our scholars by allowing them to dream about their futures.
